Zoom Tips

As we transition to virtual classes, we know that there will be some issues that will arise. To avoid any issues before logging into our classes, keep these tips in mind.

TIP 1. Bookmark your confirmation emails.

Save your confirmation emails, so you can easily log into class. Flag them in your emails or save the links, meeting ID, and password in a Word doc.

NOTE: The link, meeting ID, and password will remain the same for the entire month.

TIP 2. Log in at least 5-10 minutes before class.

This will give you some time to troubleshoot in case there are any issues. If you are led to the registration page, then you are likely using an incorrect Zoom account to log in. If you are asked to wait until the host starts the meeting or are place in the waiting room, you’re all set!

TIP 3. Use the correct Zoom account.

Ensure you’re logged into Zoom account using the email you used to register. To confirm this, follow the process below.

  1. Open the Zoom application
  2. Check the account
    • On web (web.zoom.us) ***IMPORTANT IF YOU CLICK THE LINK WHEN LOGGING INTO ZOOM ON LAPTOP***
      1. Go to web.zoom.us in your web browser (Google Chrome, Firefox, etc.)
      2. Sign into your Zoom account using the email address you registered with
      3. Go to My Account on the top right – this will take you to your profile page
      4. Check email
        • Scroll down to the Sign-In Email or
        • Click your profile icon on the top right
    • On Zoom application for iPhone/Android
      1. Click the Settings icon on the bottom navigation menu
      2. Check the email at the top
    • On Zoom application for laptop ***IMPORTANT IF YOU ARE ENTERING THE MEETING ID & PASSWORD MANUALLY***
      1. Click your profile icon on the top right
      2. Check the email at the top

NOTE: If the email you’re logged into doesn’t match, you will likely be taken to a registration page

Please ensure you’ve gone through all of the steps listed above. We can verify your registration email.
